My pc recently crashed and would not work BEFORE I installed Google Drive. Will say too that I am still on an HDD in part because SDD, while quicker, are perhaps less reliable in the long run (may crap out faster) due to nature of Flash memory utilization vs the old style of HDD.I'm still researching, but that's a supposed opinion/fact I've come across in the meantime. There is a mention of this being a read/write hdd speed issue and background resource usage. I am having the same problem and read all the comments.
So, I'm going to conspiracy theorize here a bit.
